Village is located at southeast of island Korčula, around are vineyards and bays. First settlement was Greeks, after Romans. Aristocrats from Korčula started to build their summer residents around Lumbarda in 16th century.
In surrounding of town are some small, and cheep camps and private rooms. Beaches are small and sandy. It is famous for agriculture of grapefruits and vines from grapefruits Grk.
